Animals who suffer from digestive problems, chronic ill health or immune difficulties very often have experienced a change in the thin lining that separates the intestinal tract from the rest of the body.
This lining has a unique dual function.

        It selects out the nutrients from food and allows them to pass through its walls to be absorbed into the bloodstream while it rejects many toxic waste products. Because of its ability to facilitate this selective absorption, the gastrointestinal lining is described as a semipermeable membrane.

        If the intestinal lining becomes inflamed or damaged, it may result in a "leaky gut," which allows some of the wrong substances to seep through into the blood to be carried to the liver and other organs and body tissues.         ReStore is exceptionally helpful in reducing the possibility of parvovirus, because this formula keeps the intestines strong and healthy. If your animal has already had parvo and survived, using this formula will restore the system back to health. If you have a puppy, start the ReStore between six and eight weeks of age as a preventative measure.

        Given the right opportunity, the intestinal lining can, in most instances, heal itself. Two factors are necessary for this healing process to take place. First, toxic substances that may be damaging to the lining must be removed. Offending substances can include processed food (canned or dry), sugar, salt, preservatives, drugs and other toxins. Second, the lining of the gastrointestinal tract must be provided with the proper fresh, raw food and other nutrients so it can repair itself.

        The amino acids cysteine and glutamine, and the tripeptide, glutathione, help to maintain a healthy digestive tract, build muscle, prevent muscle-wasting that can accompany diseases such as cancer and AIDS, provide anti-aging effects, promote mental ability, assist in detoxification, aid in the production of collagen thus promoting the proper elasticity, which is essential in hip dysplasia, just to name a few of the duties of amino acids.

        Be prepared to see the healing begin. Very often it begins to take place immediately. I have seen dogs with severe skin problems stop scratching in three days; animals who have been vomiting food, stop within a meal or two; however, I have seen animals that had to stay on this program for weeks before their systems were healthy enough to show outward signs of improvement.
