TESTIMONIALS

I've always had animals in my life (over 30 years) and until my recent dog, just took pet food for granted. Even though my husband and I are mainly vegetarian, I never thought of a healthy diet for our animals.

My dog, Kaiser, as a young pup (approximately 2 months old) swallowed a piece of wire, puncturing his intestine. He didn't show symptoms of being sick until 6 months of age. After two surgeries, removal of his ileocecal valve, removal of one-half of his intestine and an enormous growth, plus numerous procedures (too many to list), my puppy was dreadfully sick. Numerous blood tests on Kaiser were so poor the vets didn't know what was wrong with him (his white blood counts were so high at one point they suspected leukemia). Even without knowing what was wrong, they wanted to put Kaiser on prednisone and flagyl for the remainder of his life (whatever that would be). The wire, overlooked on the first two sets of x-rays, was never removed and is still there. By the time my puppy was a year and a half old he was dying a slow death. I refused to put him on the recommended drugs.
Kaiser at 1 ½ years of age  UPDATE: 12/1998: Kaiser at seven years old.

Kaiser was so pathetic looking (extremely thin, dull coat, cracking foot pads, pale gums, continuous diarrhea, constant vomiting, I could go on forever. I was embarrassed to take him out in public for fear that people would turn me in for abusing my baby! Then I found Pat McKay, author of Reigning Cats & Dogs. To make a long story short-Pat McKay saved Kaiser's life. Today at 2 1/2 years old, after being under Pat's care and on her diet for almost a year, Kaiser's blood tests are now almost perfect! He has such a beautiful, shiny, silvergray weineraner coat that people stop us wherever we are to ask about him. Kaiser is so very special to me and I love him beyond belief. There is no doubt in my mind that without Pat McKay, her diet, homeopathy and her caring guidance, my baby Kaiser wouldn't be with me today. His progress has been incredible!

Hi, Pat,
What can I say…thank you. I finally got to read your book this weekend and I started preparing the meals your way. You made it so easy! I have to admit, I was not very confident with my ability to do this when I was without your information; now its a piece of cake. Baby Snooks loves her dinner and dessert. I'm lucky to start this in the summer when I have such availability to fresh veggies. Once again, thanks…Laurel Wendell
Hi, again, I have been adding your supplements as instructed…my sister purchased them for us. Also feel free to add me to any list you need to. Thanks again, Laurel

As I am telling everyone who cares to hear, Pat McKay literally saved my star dog Lovies' life.

Lovies had a horrendous reaction to the rabies vaccine three years ago and quit eating. One and a half years of acupuncture and homeopathy brought relief but only Pat McKay's guidance in animal nutrition bought him back in full.

He had suffered from bloody colitis and gastroenteritis bouts and lack of appetite. He is now pretty much restored to a glowing, happy, healthy dog, begging for food - at five years - he looks and feels his best.

I am certain that if I had gone the initially recommended allopathic way with medical drugs, I would have lost my dog long ago.

Acupuncture and homeopathy certainly helped, but only Pat's nutritional guidance fully restored the health of my pup.

Lovies is a breed champion and agility dog champion. He has about 22 agility titles in three organizations, a national 4th place finish in the USDAA Grand Prix of dog agility, and he made the nation's Top Ten" three times in 1996 and 1997.

He is the most titled Italian Greyhound in the world and my best friend. His well being is a greater priority to me than my own.

And thanks to Pat he is still alive, well and ready for his next agility competition.

Dear Pat,
After talking to you this am and ordering the supplements from you, I feel like a 20 pound weight had been lifted off me. I realize now it's not making the food that's giving me problems but not knowing how to supplement it properly.

Now, or after, I get the AnimaLife and Calcium+Plus, I'll feel like they're getting a more balanced food. I'm not there yet, but I'm well on the way - thanks to your help. I'm so grateful that you care enough to put up with beginners like me.

  Dear Pat,
I have 10 rescued alley cats. When I switched them to Pat McKay raw foods, six out of ten vomited their food every day for a couple of days. And some didn't want to eat. So I bribed all of them with a tablespoon of chicken or turkey baby food over the raw food as icing. I kept it up until they ate the raw food with joy and no bribes. This took between three and six months. They are happy, active and healthy! Thank you, Pat. If anyone wants to contact me to help them through the switch over to raw food, please do so.

Dear Pat,
I just want to fax you this short note to let you know my cat, Sally, has had a complete and full recovery from her urinary tract/vaginal infection. As a matter of fact, she seems even healthier than before. I'm continuing to give her the Colostrum and Microhydrin and have added both to the rest of my family's (feline and human) and my daily supplements.

Dear Pat,
Thank you so much for helping the animals. I have Greyhounds, and unfortunately one past away last year soon after receiving his vaccinations. They told me he had inflammatory bowel disease; it soon turned into stomach cancer. He only lasted four and a half months from when he received the vaccination.

I started my other Greyhound last November on your raw meat diet. He looks a lot healthier and has much more energy. He is never going to have a vaccination for the rest of his life!!! I just wish that more vets knew about how life threatening vaccinations are.

If you ever need any volunteer work at your shop or elsewhere, I would love to help and learn from you. I teach Kindergarten. I've been teaching for the last ten years. Children and animals are my favorite things in life (and they're so similar). I just wanted to say thanks!!! Your biggest fan,

Dear Pat,

A note to say thank you. I now have all four of my pets on your program. The health and vitality of my animals due to your food and supplements is just incredible. I know this sounds like some crazy infomercial but it's the truth. I have two cats and two dogs all of them rescues. None of my animals were in great shape when I adopted them. Guapo my male dobie was in the worst shape.

I adopted Guapo 3 years ago. He weighed 65 lbs. His coat was sparse you could see through to the skin all over his body. His hips were completely bald and covered with thick calluses that were cracked and bleeding. He had no hair on 2/3s of his ears. His ribs had been broken at some point and he had been malnourished for years. He was so sweet I had to adopt him. He was estimated to be 8 years old, later another veterinarian estimated that he was 4 1/2-5 years old but appeared older because he hadn't been properly cared for.

After adopting Guapo I put him on a healthy (I thought) diet of premium kibble. Six months later he gained some weight, his calluses stopped bleeding and were reduced although he still had huge bald spots on his rear end and a dull thin coat. I was searching for some way to get him in better shape when I spoke with you about your program of raw meat and vegetables and effective supplements.

I began the program and in three weeks the change was phenomenal. His coat started to shine, his eyes were brighter, he no longer had any odor, and his bald spots started to fill in. Two months later he look like a different dog. Today, 30 months later, he has only one bald spot the size of a dime on his right hip, his coat glistens and is solid, and everyone is amazed when told he is 8 years old.

I have had the same results with my second rescued dobie "Pilar", and my two rescued Persian cats. It wasn't easy converting the cats to raw food. I had to add a spoon full at a time to their canned food over a period couple of months to get them to accept raw food. Once I did the results were incredible. They have beautiful, shinny, silky, coats. They no longer require daily combing to keep them knot free. The cats and even the cat box don't know longer have an odor. I have 4 animals living inside my condo and there is no animal smell. Since all of my animals have been on your raw food program I have had no flea problems.

Last but not least I don't feel like I'm personally supporting the Veterinarian Profession. My animals are beautiful, happy and healthy. Thanks again.

Sincerely
Ed Skaats

Success! This will probably sound like a testimonial or something but...I have had a cat, Sophie, that has always been a puker. She has vet records a mile high and has been opened up from top to bottom, poked, prodded and diagnosed with lots of allergies. I guess I gave up on her when the vets said, "Oh, she just has hairballs." I sort of shelved helping her. My other cats were doing fine.

Almost three years ago I got a dog, a Brittany, and she seemed fine; had a terrible reaction to some drugs the vet gave her. Then she started getting ear infections. Then she started scratching a lot. By then I had another dog, a Brittany pup.

At five months old, my neighbor poisoned him with anti-freeze. He managed to survive, but his immune system sure took a beating and he has had trouble with staph infections.

All this time I have fed "good" foods. The cats got all dry food. My vet said that was great, and I thought so, because Sophie's vomit was easier to clean up. The dogs got dry because - well, it was "better" for them. Still I was having these problems mentioned in brief above.

I read and researched thinking I just needed to switch foods, yet again, and I swear I have tried every food on the market. I finally found some holistic type groups and started a new track.

First I tried Pitcairn-sure that this was the answer. But WOW he feed tons of grains, and Sophie still threw up-sometimes 4 times a day. I tried Anitra Frazier for the cats and sometimes used it on the dogs. Nahh-didn't work.

Finally I read Billinghurst and then Pat McKay's book. Wow!! Sophie gets your recipe as does Miko. Sophie has not thrown up in a month and both her and and Miko love it. My other cat will eat not anything but dry kibble still.

Both dogs love raw food also and chow time is so much easier!! I do give the dogs raw meaty bones and an occasional grain meal, but their staple diet is from your book.

I guess it is too short a time to claim a major victory, but, boy, things sure are looking up.

Pat McKay saved my 95% dead (according to my vet) dog's life by her recommendations, her supplements, her food and her care. I know he would not be here today if it were not for her. His progress even in one week was remarkable.

My other twelve dogs are also doing so very well with her program, so much, much, much better than with dog food in stores. Much love and thank you,

Pat,
Sorry I missed you. I brought Boo in to show you how beautiful his coat is….and no itching! Your Colostrum Cocktail seemed to have made a tremendous difference! Seems to be a sudden big surge in raw diets for dogs. I’ve been handing out lots of your cards.

As the national director of behavior modification for Animal Behavior & Training Associates, Inc, I see many dogs that have abnormal aggressions and anxieties. Most of these dogs are being fed commercial dog food. I always suggest my clients place their dogs on Pat's raw food diet.

To date, each client that has taken my suggestion has had their behavioral problem completely resolved, while clients choosing to keep their dogs on commercial dog food have varying results.

My own dogs are frequently put in strange, chaotic and stressful situations in the name of helping me modify the behavior of my clients' dogs. They have never been overwhelmed by any situation. They even have a normalizing effect on other dogs. Not to mention, they both have perfect health and beautiful coats.

My cat went from a sickly, weak cat to a life of vigor, more than I have ever seen after feeding Pat McKay food for three days. I highly recommend the food.

It is no exaggeration to say that everything I learned about taking care of my animals I learned from Pat McKay and her life-saving books REIGNING CATS & DOGS and NATURAL IMMUNITY, Why You Should NOT Vaccinate! My dogs are living testimony that it is never too late to make a course correction and begin feeding your beloved companions fresh, raw foods. My young dogs are amazing; my middle years' dogs look and are better than friends' much younger dogs that are still being fed worthless, processed dog foods.

But the most gratifying case history is Emily, my soon to be 15-year-old black Lab mix. Emily was diagnosed with arthritis of the spine and hind legs. She improved dramatically on the fresh, raw food program and what really put her over the top are Pat McKay's supplements added to her food. Unlike chemically synthesized vitamins and minerals these are plant-cell-grown, living foods! It is definitely these and especially Calcium+Plus that gave my Emily back her dignity and independence.

Before Pat's program she could rise with assistance, and now she is up and following me before I can turn around. We will always be grateful to Pat McKay for improving our animals' health and lives.

Pat, I will never be able to thank you enough for teaching me how to best take care of my four-legged family members.

My animals are doing great on the Pat McKay food. The only concern I have is the plastic containers which are not recycleable. I am concerned about the environment, and if there is anything you can do to get recycleable containers, please do it, because I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

From Pat McKay: We're working on it, Olivia. I agree with you, the environment is important to us and our animals.

Dear Pat McKay,
I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how well my kitty is doing. Just a few months ago she was having severe urinary tract problems (urinating almost constantly); it would clear up and in a week or so would start up again, and she was suffering with constipation. She has been on the raw food diet since July, and I have gradually added most of your supplements to her diet.

The true "miracle worker" for her has been Microhydrin. At first I gave her about a fourth of a capsule once a day in the morning. After about two weeks her problem would reoccur. So one time that she started urinating constantly again, I gave her another dose of one-fourth capsule after her evening meal; she was still urinating constantly, so about a half-hour later I gave her another dose. Her urinating stopped immediately!

Since that time I have been giving her about a half of a capsule daily (one-fourth in the AM and one-fourth in the PM). Since then there has been no reoccurrence of any urinary problems. I am so grateful, and I know she is too. The constipation is almost completely cured (I've been using PuriZone).

Thank you again for all your wonderful products. Would you please send me an information packet, detailing all of your products? I would like to share them with a friend of a friend who is a veterinarian and uses Microhydrin and aromatherapy in his practice.

Please tell Pat...no big surprise to her, but very satisfying to me...that my dogs who were muscle tested before using AnimaLife and Calcium+Plus (and were deficient in calcium and fatty acid supports, gla, tyrosine and chromium) now are deficient in nothing!!!!! after 5 weeks.

My 14-year-old YorkyPoo has not played ball for the past three to four years. Five months ago I started him on the Pat McKay nutrition plan. He started to become active again, and last week WeeBear brought me his ball and wanted me to chase him around. Thank God for Pat McKay.

It's taken me a long time to write to you because it has been difficult for me to find appropriate words to tell you how grateful I am. Both of my dogs, a Standard Poodle and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, are rescue dogs and came to me with serious health problems.

After spending lots of time and money on veterinarians (allopathic and holistic) and on many books in a search to solve these problems, a wonderful source led me to Reigning Cats & Dogs. To give you one detail, my Standard has suffered with a serious fungus infection in his ears ever since I adopted him five years ago. My local veterinarian was convince that a complete ear resection was the only answer to this problem. I was just as convinced that there was another answer. Even though I had this dog on a raw meat diet for years, the ratio of meat to vegetables was incorrect-and I was not giving aloe. Also, I continued to give heartworm medication. I started with Pat's regime and stopped the monthly heartworm medication. Also I washed out the Standard's ears each day with the aloe vera/food grade hydrogen peroxide recipe. After about two weeks, the cotton used to dry out his ears after washing was finally clean. Also, I taped the Standard's ears over his head each night-I think that practice helped the healing process along. No more red ear flaps, no more brown horror in his ears, no more constant head shaking.

All of the Corgi's health problems are also solved.

It would take me pages of writing to tell you all the details of what I and my dogs have suffered along the road to their health. As I said in a letter to Pat earlier this year, I am shocked at the practices of "so-called" holistic veterinarians-this subject alone is the basis for at least one good-sized book. All of this, thanks to Pat McKay, is behind me.

Mostly I feel like I've been freed from a prison of fear, worry and expense-and the pain of watching my dear animals suffer. Also, it is so comforting to know that I can reach the Pat McKay organization for a phone consult whenever I have questions. As I said in the first sentence of this letter, I don't know how to thank you. My very best wishes to all of you. With love and gratitude,

Mike and Pat,

I just wanted to give you the good news. Coco Chanel, my Bichon Frise, finished her Championship earlier this month. She won a 5 point major in a Bichon Speciality in Rancho Santa Fe, and the following day she got a 4 point major in the Del Sur show in the same location.

Coco has eaten Pat's food for about a year. I think it is the best dog food in the world. Coco has really become beautiful since she started the raw meat.

Thank you for all of your help when I call with a question. I really appreciate it. Thank you for such a great product and customer service.

Hi, Mike
We just started agility classes in Yorba Linda once a week. Coco is great and just loves it. Now this is a dog that my breeder, Bill Dreker, insisted was just not animated enough to win any shows. Since September she is a different dog, and I'm guessing she started raw meat about March, but I can check in my office and find out exactly. She was like a couch potato when I got her from Bill at 5 months old and stayed that way for about 14 months. She got kennel cough at the National Show in May, and after we got her through that, I noticed she had slightly more energy about July. About mid-September -- A New Coco Chanel Filled With Energy -- and she has stayed that way. I have two friends that have Bill's dogs and Coco finished quicker and in California and the other two had to go out of state to finish. They don't feed raw meat.

Dear Pat and Staff,

This letter is to thank and acknowledge you all for the knowledgeable, committed services you have provided me and many of my clients. It has been several years since my cat friend was very ill with kidney disease. Since adopting your program he is incredibly well and healthy, at nearly 18 years.

A second cat came to us two years ago at age 10½, extremely overweight and crippled by it. At almost 13, she is gorgeous and spry. We thank you deeply for the blessing of their health and extra years with us.

Beyond this, many of my clients have been helped to a great extent and each one has complimented your warmth of service. It amazes people to learn how the pet/vet food industry is killing our animal friends with "convenience" products and ignorance of the natural world.

You are informed and courageous to do this work. Pet's will never recover on our commercial foods, nor reach their full potential, and it is time the public knows that food is a healer.

Keep up the wonderful work, please! Thank you for having taught me these ways.

Most gratefully,

Hi guys,

I had a bit of fun with my local vet around the corner tonight. I took Aari for a titres test to check his immunity against Parvo, and we began to discuss dog food. I talked to him about the renderd pets issue and he looked at me like I was mad.

I said - Right! You wait right here - dashed out to the car and brought in my folder full of the info plus the original article (pictures and all)> Hmmmm...he went quiet as he read on....

He shook his head. "This can't be true, Andrea...The drugs used to put these pets to sleep is deadly...." I gave him another article that addressed this issue, and he read on..."This is mad. I lost a dog here last week because it ate the body of another animal that had been euthanized and buried...."

Hey! I felt like lady much when I left him deeply engrossed in these aticles. He mumbled something about ringing me tomorrow with results and could I get him more info, please....Hmmmmmm.

RE: Vaccinations for Cats
I have 12 cats now. I used to vaccinate against everything, believing I was doing the best for my animals. One cat, Muffin, vaccinated for upper respiratory, contracted just that within days. She literally had to be hand fed for 6 months. We didn't know if she'd ever eat on her own again. She had Rhino and Calici Virus. She was fine before the vaccine.

Interesting statistics from Cornell on FIP that Victoria sited. I've always heard that once a cat contracts FIP in a multi-cat household like mine, it will spread to all. Walnut, a stray neighborhood cat we adopted and got fixed, got FIP and died. Not one of my other cats were the least bit effected. The cats all ate and drank out of the same bowls and groomed one another. Walnut was part of the family for over three years, so there certainly was time for him to infect the others if it was going to happen.

Scruffalufagus was vaccinated against FELV and died of it. That's before I knew better.

I have not vaccinated my cats for almost ten years. Twinkles was 14 when she died from being mauled by a stray dog. Puma is 13, Clarence is 7, Elmo is 7, and Guiniverre is 8 or 9, all healthy, all without vaccines. (Clarence and Guiniverre are mostly inside cats.)

Just my 2 cents worth
Charlotte Wagner
dejavu@e2.empirenet.com
PS: I also know a lady whose baby was very healthy, and she got vaccinated against Pertussis and died. I don't think the average person has any idea about how dangerous vaccination in people or animals is. A bit off subject but How To Raise A Healthy Child In Spite Of Your Doctor by Dr Robert Mendelson goes through each childhood disease and why the vaccine is unnecessary, deadly in some cases. It is a real eye opener.

Dear Pat McKay,

Your book NATURAL IMMUNITY is excellent! I'm glad you are getting these facts out to the public. I did not see Catherine O'Driscoll's book Who Killed The Darling Buds of May mentioned in your bibliography. She has also been working very hard to get the facts out to the public of the dangers of vaccines. I hope you will write a follow-up book on vaccination. There is a lot more to tell!

My Experience With Treating FUS Holistically

When Pat McKay asked me if I would write about my experiences treating my two cats with FUS holistically with the products she suggested, without a doubt, I said YES!!!!! I want to let you know that Pat McKay, her staff, and the books she has written, Reigning Cats & Dogs and Natural Immunity have been a Godsend.

This is where the story begins about a year and a half ago when my four-year-old-neutered-male Abyssinian turned up with Feline Urinary Syndrome (FUS). I knew when he couldn't urinate that he had FUS, and I was in serious trouble. Realizing how serious it was and holistically not knowing how to treat it or if you could, in the first incident, I took him to a veterinarian where he was catheterized and sent home with antibiotics, and I was given a bill of $450.

In the meantime I was searching for answers and found the book, Reigning Cats & Dogs, and made the decisions to put all of my cats on her raw food diet. I called to order products from Pat McKay's company. I told one of the staff the problem I had with my Abyssinian having FUS. She suggested I get the tincture called Urtica Urens* and keep it on hand if the problem came up again. Well, two weeks later the FUS came on again. Immediately I started the treatment she recommends. I did two-hour-a-day treatments. It was a little scary (he passed blood), but the whole time I was monitoring him like a hawk for any unforeseen problems. It did take four days to unblock him and about four months to totally dissolve the crystals that he had formed. I became an expert at seeing the FUS come on and would immediately start the treatments, and he never got really blocked after the initial time. It has been a year and a half and he is doing great. He rarely has a blockage, and he has been on Pat McKay's raw food diet ever since.

Now, a year and a half later, my second Abyssinian has FUS. One evening he was fully blocked and squatting everywhere. I started a two-hour treatment. With these treatments I used a strong natural detoxifier (FHES)** and also liquid microclusters** (to penetrate the treatment into the cells). The next morning he still looked like he didn't feel too well, so I gave him an hour treatment. He was able to urinate right after that. A couple of days later he was blocked and passing a little blood; I did a two-hour treatment. Within 45 minutes he was unblocked and not bleeding. I have gotten good at recognizing when he has another blockage and I start treatment immediately and accordingly. I feel that as a pet owner I cannot ignore the success that I have had with this life-threatening condition using the treatments and the raw food. You must remember that your cat's condition did not happen overnight, and the blockage can go on and off for months before it gets better. The end result is what counts-happy, healthy animals.

My phone number is 800-788-6737 ext 9663. I will return your call asap for anyone who wants more information on what to expect working through this condition and/or assistance in dealing with this condition.

It is of my opinion*** that this life-threatening condition can be totally managed using the raw food diet and the necessary treatments when the blockage occurs. The positive side is endless, not to mention the following problems being avoided: the often loss of the animal with conventional treatment, the surgical removal of the penis, the pain and suffering for the animal, an array of emotions spent, time and money.

I want to personally thank Pat McKay for sharing her knowledge so that our animals could have a better quality of health. I feel my cats would have met a certain death without her information to encourage me on.

Sincerely,
Ann M Stenson

To Pat McKay and Associates, Hi, I just wanted to write and let you know how pleased I am with the raw foods program that you promote for cats and dogs.

My cat, Moochie, came to live with me when she was a six-month-old abandoned kitten. I have had her for two years now and since that time she has been fed a diet of raw organic meat and raw organic vegetables. The only time that she has ever been sick was when I first found her and started to change her diet, she had some initial cleansing reactions. But in the last two years she has not been sick and the only reason I take her to the vet is to have her toenails clipped.

Her fur is soft and silky and people often comment on the beauty of her coat and the lack of smell in her litter box. This program really works and if more people fed their pets this way it would save a lot of grief and misery for the owners and the pets. Keep up your good work of spreading the word about true raw food nutrition and health!

Dear Pat,
Three days ago I called you for help about my cat, Russell. He had 2 rodent ulcers on his upper lip and they were spreading. His mother had to be put to sleep after unsuccessful treatment for the same condition by a traditionally trained vet.
Well, I gotta tell you…after just 3 days on  raw food and the organic supplements, the rodent ulcers are almost gone—already! Russell also had a runny left eye, slept a lot and was generally starting a downhill course. No anymore! I can’t begin to express my thanks and appreciation to you for your book REIGNING CATS & DOGS and your phone help. I thought cats slept most of the time. My nine cats are busy, busy, busy most of the day now. And after their first raw food meal, each one came and thanks me! And I’m sure they thank you, too.
I’m so grateful and happy to be able to give my kitties a better life. I’ve got my mom feeding her cats raw food now as well.

As I am telling everyone who cares to hear, Pat McKay literally saved my star dog Lovies’ life.
Lovies had a horrendous reaction to the rabies vaccine three years ago and quit eating. One and a half years of acupuncture and homeopathy brought relief but only Pat McKay’s guidance in animal nutrition bought him back in full.
He had suffered from bloody colitis and gastroenteritis bouts and lack of appetite.

I am certain that if I had gone the initially recommended allopathic way with medical drugs, I would have lost my dog long ago.
Acupuncture and homeopathy certainly helped, but only Pat’s nutritional guidance fully restored the health of my pup.

Dear Pat,
After talking to you this am and ordering the supplements from you, I feel like a 20 pound weight had been lifted off me. I realize now it’s not making the food that’s giving me problems but not knowing how to supplement it properly.
Now, or after, I get the AnimaLife and Calcium+Plus, I’ll feel like they’re getting a more balanced food. I’m not there yet, but I’m well on the way – thanks to your help. I’m so grateful that you care enough to put up with beginners like me.

Dear Pat,
I just want to fax you this short note to let you know my cat, Sally, has had a complete and full recovery from her urinary tract/vaginal infection. As a matter of fact, she seems even healthier than before. I’m continuing to give her the Colostrum and Microhydrin and have added both to the rest of my family’s (feline and human) and my  daily supplements.

Dear Pat,
Since I last wrote you after your talk in San Leandro, I have had my dogs on the raw food diet. I have 3 Belgian Tervurens, ages 12, 4 & 1 ½ . They love the food and are thriving.
My problem is that the 4 year old doesn’t seem to be getting satiated. She has gained about 7 pounds and is flunking the “rib test.” When I first put them on this diet, she would overeat and then go outside and regurgitate into a hole she had dug and then eat it later. She only did this a few times so I figured it wasn’t a big deal so I kept doing what I was doing. But now I’m, concerned about her weight. Should I be or will this work itself out eventually? I know you said to give them enough so that some food remained in the pan. She hasn’t reached that yet!
One thing I have noticed is that she doesn’t come running to the kitchen every time I go in there even when I’m fixing some food for myself.
The other two are fine except that now the 1 ½ year old will pick through the ground beef to eat the stew meat. He will leave food in the pan but will still eat stew meat if it is offered. He will sometimes do the same with the chicken thigh meat I cut off the bone to put with the ground. Is this just a texture thing (him liking the bigger pieces to chew) or is he not that hungry?
As for supplements, they get Calcium+Plus, AnimaLife, Aloe Concentrate and ProEnergy. Sometimes I give them ReVive, but not every day. The older dog also gets MSM and the Gelatin.

Editor: I put this letter in the Testimonials so that dog guardians would realize that there are some stumbling blocks along the way to good health. Dogs’ digestive systems often have to make many new adjustments when starting on the proper food. Whatever help is necessary, we are here at Pat McKay, Inc, to guide you through the tough spots.
The 4 year old has made her weight adjustment by adding a couple other products. The 1 ½ year old just really likes the chunks as most dogs do. The reason for grinding the meat is to mix in the vegetables, because many dogs (as with children) won’t eat their veggies).

Hi, Everyone,
Well, as you know, we are in Kansas. I have been making my own food, raw veggies and raw meat. I wanted to say hi to everyone and tell you that I miss you, that we are okay, and always thinking about you, and we miss having the food already made up. Here is my order. I’m of course keeping them on all your supplements.

Pat McKay saved my 95% dead (according to my vet) dog’s life by her recommendations, her supplements, her food and her care. I know he would not be here today if it were not for her. His progress even in one week was remarkable.
My other twelve dogs are also doing so very well with her program, so much, much, much better than with dog food in stores. Much love and thank you,

As the national director of behavior modification for Animal Behavior & Training Associates, Inc, I see many dogs that have abnormal aggressions and anxieties. Most of these dogs are being fed commercial dog food. I always suggest my clients place their dogs on Pat’s raw food diet.
To date, each  client that has taken my suggestion has had their behavioral problem completely resolved, while clients choosing to keep their dogs on commercial dog food have varying results.
My own dogs are frequently put in strange, chaotic and stressful situations in the name of helping me modify the behavior of my clients’ dogs. They have never been overwhelmed by any situation. They even have a normalizing effect on other dogs. Not to mention, they both have perfect health and beautiful coats.

My young dogs are amazing; my middle years’ dogs look and are better than friends’ much younger dogs that are still being fed worthless, processed dog foods.
But the most gratifying case history is Emily, my soon to be 15-year-old black Lab mix. Emily was diagnosed with arthritis of the spine and hind legs. She improved dramatically on the fresh, raw food program and what really put her over the top are Pat McKay’s supplements added to her food. Unlike chemically synthesized vitamins and minerals these are plant-cell-grown, living foods! It is definitely these and especially Calcium+Plus that gave my Emily back her dignity and independence.
Before Pat’s program she could rise with assistance, and now she is up and following me before I can turn around. We will always be grateful to Pat McKay for improving our animals’ health and lives.

Thank you.

The true “miracle worker” for her has been Microhydrin.
The constipation is almost completely cured (I’ve been using PuriZone).

It’s taken me a long time to write to you because it has been difficult for me to find appropriate words to tell you how grateful I am.
My local veterinarian was convinced that a complete ear resection was the only answer to this problem. I was just as convinced that there was another answer. Even though I had this dog on a raw meat diet for years, the ratio of meat to vegetables was incorrect—and I was not giving aloe. Also, I continued to give heartworm medication.  I started with Pat’s regime and stopped the monthly heartworm medication. Also I washed out the Standard’s ears each day with the aloe vera/food grade hydrogen peroxide recipe. After about two weeks, the cotton used to dry out his ears after washing was finally clean. Also, I taped the Standard’s ears over his head each night—I think that practice helped the healing process along. No more red ear flaps, no more brown horror in his ears, no more constant head shaking.
All of the Corgi’s health problems are also solved.
It would take me pages of writing to tell you all the details of what I and my dogs have suffered along the road to their health. As I said in a letter to Pat earlier this year, I am shocked at the practices of “so-called” holistic veterinarians—this subject alone is the basis for at least one good-sized book. All of this, thanks to Pat McKay, is behind me.
Mostly I feel like I’ve been freed from a prison of fear, worry and expense—and the pain of watching my dear animals suffer. Also, it is so comforting to know that I can reach the Pat McKay organization for a phone consult whenever I have questions. As I said in the first sentence of this letter, I don’t know how to thank you.

Coco has eaten Pat’s food for about a year. I think it is the best dog food in the world. Coco has really become beautiful since she started the raw meat.
Thank  you for all of your help when I call with a question. I really appreciate it. Thank you for such a great product and customer service.

Hi,
We just started agility classes in Yorba Linda once a week. Coco is great and just loves it. Now this is a dog that my breeder, Bill Dreker, insisted was just not animated enough to win any shows. Since September she is a different dog, and I’m guessing she started raw meat about March, but I can check in my office and find out exactly. I have two friends that have Bill’s dogs and Coco finished quicker and in California and the other two had to go out of state to finish. They don’t feed raw meat.

It amazes people to learn how the pet/vet food industry is killing our animal friends with “convenience” products and ignorance of the natural world.
You are informed and courageous to do this work. Pet’s will never recover on our commercial foods, nor reach their full potential, and it is time the public knows that food is a healer.
Keep up the wonderful work, please! Thank you for having taught me these ways.
       Most gratefully,

PS: The Microhydrin is all you’ve said, and a daily gift to animals and humans in our home! Espy’s kidneys cleared enough to have her teeth cleaned, and she is better than ever.

With chiropractic being my profession for over thirty years, I am keenly aware of the positive influence on the health and well-being of individuals who chose to eat, drink, breathe, rest, exercise and think in the healthiest manner available. Good nutrition is an area of increased interest and research in recent years, and we are just as interested in the health of our animals—presently three dogs and five cats.
Thank goodness for Pat McKay arriving on the scene. Pat is a caring, informed and educated lady who has devoted most of her life learning and teaching others how to give animals a healthier lifestyle.  We have followed the recommendations in her book for approximately three years. None of our animals know what sickness is. We highly recommend her work.

I’ve found that Pat McKay’s Raw Food Diet has been a key factor in improving the health and well-being of animal companions. A number of seriously ailing animals that I have treated might not have survived and recovered without the support of Pat’s diet. Even more, regular use of the diet works for animals who are well and can bring them into robust and joyful health.
Pat’s clear and simple instructions make the diet easy to follow. I highly recommend the diet to anybody who has a beloved animal companion.

Dear Pat McKay,
Your book NATURAL IMMUNITY is excellent! I’m glad you are getting these facts out to the public. I did not see Catherine O’Driscoll’s book  Who Killed The Darling Buds of May mentioned in your bibliography.

I knew when he couldn’t urinate that he had FUS, and I was in serious trouble.
I called to order products from Pat McKay’s company. He rarely has a blockage, and he has been on Pat McKay’s raw food diet ever since.
The next morning he still looked like he didn’t feel too well, so I gave him an hour treatment.
You must remember that your cat’s condition did not happen overnight, and the blockage can go on and off for months before it gets better. The end result is what counts—happy, healthy animals.

To Pat McKay and Associates,
Hi, I just wanted to write and let you know how pleased I am with the raw foods program that you promote for cats and dogs.

Dear Pat,
Such a difference in only 3 days! Two of my dogs have always had enlarged lymph nodes. The vet said they’d probably be dead in 6 months. Ha! In both cases their nodes are very much smaller, about 85% less.
Thank you again, you’ve got an avid convert here! (My vet will love it! Yep!)

Our six-and-a-half-year-old pug, Eames, suffered from colitis since he was two years old. He vomited constantly; had chronic diarrhea, and sometimes had both simultaneously. Eames had very expensive diagnostic tests and scopes. We tried everything the vets recommended. He took daily steroids, two stomach and bowel medications, plus antibiotics. When his stomach and colon would not relax, we had to drug him with tranquilizers.
Since Eames began Pat McKay’s raw food diet HE NO LONGER TAKES ANY MEDICINE!!!  He has NO stomach or bowel disorders. Even our vets have been very supportive. They are delighted that he is cured.

Our Re-education regarding the feeding of animals was jolted into high gear when our then eleven-year-old catfriend Apollo began to fail dramatically. Through some miracle we still can’t figure out, we were led to Pat McKay. She advised us quite firmly that Apollo might not make it, but insisted that we treat him homeopathically and start the raw food diet.
What we learned and observed turned our ignorant understanding of animal care completely upside down. There were times when we didn’t know if Apollo would be alive in the morning, but he stayed with us, seemingly telling us, “This is all about you guys learning something---so get with it!”
That was nearly four years ago, and the purring mound of warm orange fluff basking in a ray of morning sunshine today graces our lives with joy and amazement.
There are simply no excuses to keep feeding our animal friends dead and empty food. We urge everyone we meet to read Pat’s book. Her gutsy integrity is not something to take lightly or try to foolishly explain away. She is offering us all some very wise instruction about the humane and intelligent feeding of our loving companions.

Editor’s note: Apollo lived for eight more years after starting on the Pat McKay program.    He died at age 19.

Dear Pat,
Since my cats have been on your program they have been thriving. All their little ailments have disappeared. The healing power of a diet aligned with nature became most evident to me when I found a mange, flea-infested kitten with ear mites and watched her blossom into a beautiful healthy cat without drugs or toxic dips. All she had was Pat McKay’s diet and, of course, lots of love. After reading REIGNING CATS & DOGS, I must say that my own diet has improved also.

Dudley, my white Persian, has suffered with eye problems for over four years; I believe he was born with them. It became chronic this last six months. I tried everything’ $1,000 later; the best ophthalmologist; the last antibiotic (which cost $80) that “for sure would work”—well, it didn’t. He was worse than ever. When I went to pick him up, he cried and hissed because the pain was so bad. At the end of my own strength, in tears, I prayed, “God help me.” Well, He did. He sent me to Pat McKay and Art Stratton. Within twenty-four hours it was halfway improved. By the third week, I’, happy to say he’s healed. Thank God.

 Dear Pat,
I would like to order a copy of your wonderful book REIGNING CATS & DOGS for someone who saw my show with Dr Douglas Kappstatter. I love your book.
